Call for Editor In Chief
Human Social Review (HSR) is pleased to invite applications and nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief. Published by SPIDER Publishing, HSR is dedicated to advancing high-quality research in sociology, social policy, human development, education, cultural studies, behavioral sciences, and interdisciplinary social research.
The journal seeks a visionary and experienced academic leader to provide strategic direction, uphold rigorous scholarly standards, and strengthen its international academic presence. The Editor-in-Chief will play a central role in shaping editorial policy, ensuring a fair and robust peer review process, expanding global scholarly engagement, and positioning the journal as a respected platform for impactful social science research.
This position is voluntary and non-remunerated, with an initial three-year term, renewable based on performance and mutual agreement.
Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Editor-in-Chief will:

Provide academic and strategic leadership

Oversee the peer review and editorial decision-making process

Appoint and coordinate Associate Editors and Editorial Board members

Ensure high scholarly and ethical standards aligned with international best practices

Promote the journal within global social science research communities

Support indexing, abstracting, and visibility initiatives

Applicants should:

Hold a doctoral degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Public Policy, Education, Psychology, or a closely related field
