Guide for Authors

Scientific Research Review (SRR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing high-quality scientific and engineering research. The journal is committed to advancing theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and reproducible scholarship across science, engineering, computational research, and interdisciplinary applied systems.

SRR adheres to internationally recognized standards of academic publishing, research integrity, and editorial transparency consistent with indexing requirements of major abstracting and citation databases.

Authors are required to read these guidelines carefully prior to submission.

1. Aims and Scope

SRR publishes original contributions that advance scientific knowledge through:

  • Formal theoretical development

  • Mathematical modelling and analytical derivation

  • Experimental validation and engineering innovation

  • Computational and algorithmic research

  • Data-driven and reproducible scientific inquiry

The journal particularly values submissions that demonstrate:

  • Technical novelty

  • Strong theoretical or mathematical foundation

  • Methodological transparency

  • Replicability and verifiability

  • Clear contribution to the advancement of knowledge

Interdisciplinary research integrating natural sciences, engineering, computational methods, applied mathematics, digital systems, and sustainability-oriented technological innovation is strongly encouraged.

Submissions must fall clearly within the journal’s scientific and engineering focus.

2. Editorial Policy and Peer Review

SRR operates a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.

  • Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit.

  • Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and absence of conflicts of interest.

  • The Editor-in-Chief holds final decision authority.

Evaluation criteria include:

  • Originality and scientific significance

  • Technical soundness

  • Methodological rigour

  • Clarity and logical coherence

  • Reproducibility

  • Relevance to journal scope

The journal aims to provide:

  • Initial editorial screening within 2 weeks

  • First decision within 4–6 weeks

  • Final decision within 8–12 weeks

All editorial procedures are conducted transparently and ethically.

3. Manuscript Categories

3.1 Original Research Articles

Full-length scientific papers presenting novel theoretical, computational, or experimental research.

Recommended length: 6,000–12,000 words.

3.2 Review Articles

Comprehensive and critical reviews of established or emerging scientific fields.

Recommended length: 8,000–12,000 words.

3.3 Methodological Papers

Innovative algorithms, modelling techniques, statistical frameworks, or engineering designs.

Recommended length: 4,000–8,000 words.

3.4 Short Communications

Brief but significant scientific findings.

Recommended length: 3,000–4,000 words.

4. Manuscript Preparation

4.1 Submission Format

LaTeX submission is mandatory.

Authors must submit:

  • LaTeX source files (.tex)

  • Compiled PDF

  • Bibliography files (.bib if applicable)

  • All figure files (vector format preferred: PDF/EPS/SVG)

A standardized SRR LaTeX template must be used.

4.2 Structure of Manuscript

Main manuscript (anonymous for peer review) must include:

  • Title

  • Abstract (200–300 words)

  • Keywords (4–6)

4.3 Mathematical and Technical Standards

  • All equations must be typeset using LaTeX.

  • Variables and symbols must be clearly defined.

  • Units must follow SI conventions.

  • Algorithms should include formal description and, where appropriate, complexity analysis.

  • Computational studies must include sufficient information to ensure reproducibility.

5. Research Integrity and Publication Ethics

SRR follows internationally recognized ethical standards consistent with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.

5.1 Originality

Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. All submissions are screened for plagiarism.

5.2 Authorship Criteria

Authorship must reflect substantial intellectual contribution. Ghost and gift authorship are strictly prohibited.

5.3 Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.

5.4 Data Transparency and Reproducibility

Authors must provide:

  • Data availability statement

  • Access to datasets where possible

  • Code repositories for computational studies

  • Description of software and version numbers

Where data cannot be shared, a justified explanation must be provided.

5.5 AI Disclosure

Use of artificial intelligence tools in writing, analysis, or code generation must be explicitly disclosed.

6. Referencing Policy

SRR follows a standardized numerical referencing style.

Authors must:

  • Ensure complete and accurate citation

  • Include DOIs where available

  • Cite datasets and software appropriately

  • Avoid excessive self-citation

Reference manipulation or citation stacking is strictly prohibited.

7. Open Access and Copyright

SRR operates under a full open-access model.

  • No submission fees

  • No article processing charges (APCs)

  • Immediate public accessibility upon publication

Authors retain copyright.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License.

8. Indexing and Archiving Policy

SRR is committed to meeting international indexing standards through:

  • Consistent publication schedule

  • Digital object identifier (DOI) assignment for all articles

9. Submission Process
